He started his career as a computer engineer before becoming one of the first producers on Sky TV’s primetime technology show “The Computer Channel” – alongside also covering mainstream business and technology news. He then worked as a product reviewer and technical writer for IT Network before going to Computer Weekly to cover security, telecoms and networking. He worked for several large technology brands including Microsoft and EMC as a technical writer and media consultant and was also the editor at International Broadcast Engineer – a role that saw him deliver a huge number of detailed analysis pieces on emerging video experiences. He has also written a number of books including tech guides for Which? and several "Dummies" guides on topics including big data and storage.
Will is also a highly experienced event moderator, managing content and panels at both the IBC and NAB shows for the last 10 years.

Katie has just completed her third business book on AI’s impact on marketing, sales and CX, for publication on 3rd November 2025. Her second book was published by Kogan Page in January 2022: AI Strategy for Sales and Marketing: Connecting marketing, sales and customer experience. Her first book, Using Artificial Intelligence in Marketing: How to Harness AI and Maintain the Competitive Edge, was listed as a reference source in the 'Brand Strategy' section of the World Economic Forum's Empowering AI Leadership AI toolkit for corporate boards.
Katie has over 35 years of consulting experience across a range of sectors.
Katie has delivered two TEDx talks and is a regular speaker worldwide. In 2024, she toured 17 countries, delivering sessions on applying AI to business. She is just heading to Canada and USA to deliver further Keynotes.
Katie is a member of the UK Government All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) task force for the adoption of AI.
In 2020, she launched a global school AI programme, the Leaders of Tomorrow, to close the skills gap in education and show young people how STEM and AI will reshape their future careers.
Gordon Strachan
Gordon Strachan OBE played for Dundee, Aberdeen, Manchester United, Leeds United and Coventry City.
In club football, he played 635 league games, scoring a total of 138 goals.
He was part of the Aberdeen side that defeated Real Madrid 2–1 to lift the 1983 European Cup Winners' Cup in Gothenburg
Strachan earned 50 caps for Scotland, securing his place in the International Roll of Honour.
He played in two FIFA World Cup final tournaments, Spain '82 and Mexico '86, scoring in a 2-1 defeat to West Germany in June 1986.
He was named as the Football Writers Association Footballer of the Year in 1990/91 season while at Leeds. After two years at Coventry City he retired in 1997, aged 40, setting a Premier League record for an outfield player.
In 2007, Strachan was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame, and he was named Scotland national coach in January 2013.

Prior to his appointment at Topsec Technology Mackey was CEO of Horseracing Ireland (HRI) Racecourses Division from 2006 to January 2008 and ran the most successful Irish Grand National in the last 20 years. Preceding that Mackey spent 6 years with Nokia from 2000-2006 developing their Mobile Internet offering and working with Mobile Operators around Europe winning and delivering Network deals. Between 1997 and 2000, Niall was the European Business Operations Manager at Interoute integrating 11 countries into their business during that time. Niall’s first job was as a software engineer with the Mason’s in Hammersmith, London.
Mackey has an MSC in Cloud Computing and an MBA in Strategy, Marketing and Finance with the IMI.
Niall is Irish and has a wife Sam, an acupuncturist and two children Evelyn (College in Dublin, Ireland) and Joshua (Playing D1 Tennis in College in Toledo, USA). He has a keen interest in sports, particularly Pickleball (Irish Men’s and Mixed Doubles champion and British open runner up in Singles – also coaches the Irish over 50’s team), tennis, badminton. He also enjoys reading and a wide range of music.
